In Foresta Umbra 32 km equipped paths, for trekking, cycling or hiking, will lead you to the discovery of the Beech Forest, UNESCO World Heritage.
At the bottom of the city there is a mule track, Scannamugliera, Jazzo Ognissanti, an amazing historical naturalistic path. In springtime, in the valleys of the area of Monte Sant’Angelo, more than 80 varieties of spontaneous orchids offer a colourful show worth of being discovered along the paths of Foresta Umbra, Bosco Quarto, nearby Pulsano, where you can go for a walking tour in the Hermitages.
Leaving the mountain in the back, Monte Sant’Angelo means sea as well; when you arrive in the plain of Macchia, an expanse of olive trees meets a crystal-clear sea and a rugged coastline.
